The Morgan School Chorus of 1981-1982 is pleased to make this album of traditional Christmas music available for your listening pleasure. The one hundred and fifty-one voice chorus is featured on side one of this recording.

Side two of the recording features selections performed from concerts in 1978, 1980 and 1981. In addition to the traditional Christmas music, side two also features the popular "Hanerot Halalu" (a song for Hanukah). Sung in Hebrew, the translation is, "We kindle these lights for the wonders and the redemptions Thou didst perform for our fathers through Thy holy priests. These Hanukah lights are holy and through them we sanctify Thy name".

A highlight of the 1980-81 school year was the Alumni Chorus Concert when one hundred and thirty-five Morgan School alumni returned to spend a day in rehearsal and in social activities climaxed by a combined concert with the school's chorus. The concert finale featured this performance of Handel's "Hallelujah!" from The Messiah sung by two hundred and eighty voices under the direction of Mr. Sidney White, conductor of the Morgan Chorus from 1950-1960.

Although not connected with Christmas in any way, so many requests were received to include the Fry composition "If You Believe In Music", that it too is included here. It is felt by many that this work will become as traditional to Morgan choruses of the future as Christmas itself.
