Luis Suelves was born at Saragossa on February 4, 1939. He started his guitar studies under the direction of the celebrated professor, Ignacio Menaya. Following his courses of study he became a part of the musical culture of Paris. Later he gave numerous recitals in the large cities of Spain and then returned to Paris where he affiliated himself with Vogue Records as an instrumental soloist, and the recording of this album -- a recording that has classified Luis Suelves as one of the great guitar virtuosos of this era.
