I‘ve seen a lot of Led Zeppelin II variants in my days, but this was a first; a 1969 mono promo press. The Discogs sales history on this particular variant is shocking, I’ll say that. The jacket indicates its a stereo pressing, but the bright orange d/j copy - monaural sticker on the front proves itself to be right.
As I understand, this press was made exclusively for AM radio (which of course is mono) to present optimal soundstage on the limitive format.
Pretty sweet, and oh so rare. A grail record for some, no doubt. Find the record in our store here.
